Previo al festival y a la mañana hubo una reunión de Presidentes de las Asociaciones de Extremeños en Euskadi en los locales del Centro Extremeño “ La Bellota de Legazpi, para tratar sobre el presente y futuro de las Asociaciones en Euskadi y, sobre todo, sobre la propia Federación así como para la que la organización del festival de la tarde fuese perfecta, con la asistencia de todas las Asociaciones y su Comisión Permanente menos Barakaldo, Tolosa y Zarautz.
Con un local coqueto, agradable, con un buen aforo, calentito y abarrotado de público, teniendo que cerrar las puertas por tener todos las butacas llenas, como fue el Latxartegi Aretoa de legazpi, con más de 140 participantes, sobre el escenario de nueve(9) Corales o Grupos de Coros y Danzas de las Asociaciones de la Federación de Asociaciones extremeñas de Euskadi “FAEDE” venidas desde los Centros extremeños de Santurce, Astrabudua, Bilbao, Galdakao, Ermua, San Sebastián, Errentería, Legazpi y una Coral de la Localidad de Legazpi.
Se desarrolla el festival con la Coral Santikux para dar la bienvenida y seguir con la alternancia de las Asociaciones que solo tenían Coros y las que tenían Grupos de Coros y Danzas para terminar con el Coro anfitrión el Coro “Sones de Extremadura” del Centro Cultural la Bellota de Legazpi; terminada las actuaciones se hace entrega de unos detalles, que una vez más como en años anteriores ha consistido en productos de Extremadura, cava de Almendralejo, Badajoz y bombones de higo, de Almoarin, Cáceres para los participantes y con unos cuadros alegóricos a Legazpi, realizados en Salvatierra de los Barros, Badajoz, al Ayuntamiento de la localidad y al Centro organizador, pasando la palabra a la Concejal del Ayuntamiento de Legazpi y al Director General de Migración y Diversidad de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa cerrando el Presidente de la FAEDE, Enrique García Pérez, quien agradeció a los presentes su asistencia y a los Grupos de Coros y Danzas su excelente trabajo fruto del sacrificio en el día a día en sus asociaciones, pidiéndole que nunca abandonen estos actos y el recuerdo a su Tierra, apoyándola y difundiéndola en cualquier momento que tengan oportunidad y se termina el festival con los Himnos de Euskadi y de Extremadura, cantados por todos los presentes.

Como representación asistieron los Presidente y vocales de los Centros extremeño de la Faede que por la mañana habían estado en la reunión y como representación institucional contamos con la presencia del Director General de Migración y Diversidad de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa, D. Marcos Nanclares Hermosa y con la Concejal de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Legazpi.
